Mum went to check in while Dad and I sorted out the luggage and valet. $12 a night for self park or $13 a night for valet. Umm, lemme think about that lol. SOLD. By the time we got inside Mum had managed to get us an upgrade from a room with a fold out sofa to a room with two queen sized beds. Except I'm pretty sure one is queen and one is king (not that I am complaining!)
The room itself is pretty standard. TV, bar fridge, coffee machine, beds and a bathroom. Clean and comfortable. The shower takes about five minutes to go from freezing to warm so theres a bit of standing around waiting and once you're in the shower it's definitely not the best in the world, but it'll do.
The restaurant downstairs is quite good and quite reasonably priced. Soup of the day with garlic bread will only set you back $7 in a cup, $10 in a mug. Turkey club with fries was only $12. Definitely wouldn't eat there every night but it's quite good for a short stay.
There is a Starbucks and a mini mart across the street so coffee and supplies are not far away for a short stay and there is a Walmart close by for longer stays. There's also a Taco Bell opposite here but I haven't been game to try that yet :P
By far the best thing about this hotel, and the main reason I booked us into this one, is the fact that every night you can see the fireworks display from Disneyland. It is over the freeway but not far at all so you actually get a free show! Winning!
